| William Otis McKenzie
and Anna Eliza Smith were
married March 24, 1901 in Johnson County, Illinois. They were the parents
of twelve children, eight of whom lived to be adults.
Anna Eliza was the daughter of James H. Smith and Margaret Ann (Maggie) Holshouser who were married in Union County on April 27, 1876. William Otis was the son of Ben F. McKenzie and Mary Maneva Davidson who were married in Johnson County on September 10, 1874. Family lore leads us to believe that William Otis was orphaned at an early age, but we have been unable to confirm this with death dates of his parents. We are still researching the McKenzie - Smith - Holshouser - Davidson families. Our information about them is very limited at this time. |
