| From England, Scotland,
Wales and Germany they came - their routes all leading eventually to the
state of Illinois. Our families first settled in other places:
North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana and Missouri. Soon they moved
on and arrived in Southern Illinois to build their homes and raise their
families. Some members later left Southern Illinois to follow the
call of the new west. But many remained and their descendants live
today in the small towns and farms of the southern part of the Land
of Lincoln. |
